Mr. Walker's Professional Bio:

Robert Walker, Esq., is the managing partner and one of the founding members of Gallagher, Walker, Bianco & Plastaras, LLP. Since graduating from St. John’s Law School in 1978, Mr. Walker has been engaged in the defense of personal injury actions at the trial and appellate levels. Over his career, he has tried in excess of two hundred cases to verdict. His experience includes the trial of complex, high-exposure cases of many types, including products liability, medical malpractice, Labor Law, automobile, and premises liability.

Mr. Walker has enjoyed the privilege of defending at trial the insureds of many prominent insurance carriers such as Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Company, Nationwide Insurance Company, and Sentry Insurance as
well as many of the world’s largest corporations including Costco Corp., John Deere, Terex Corp, Genie, and Hewlett-Packard. His career and the firm share a singular focus – delivering not only legal excellence but also value to clients.

Mr. Walker is married with three children and has also served on the board of The Opening Word program for more than two decades.

SISTER LENORE TOSCANO, OP

OF THE OPENING WORD PROGRAM

S. Lenore's Professional Bio:

Understanding that education is the key to empowerment, S. Lenore Toscano, OP has had a lifelong love for teaching. Fittingly, her ministry has been in education. She was the Principal of BVM Help of Christians School in Woodside and St. Nicholas High School in Williamsburg. She has also served as Diocesan School Supervisor for the Diocese of Brooklyn, as Assistant Prioress for the Sisters of St. Dominic in Amityville, and as a teacher and later, Executive Director, for the Opening Word Program.

In 1994 S. Lenore joined the teaching staff of the Opening Word
Program in Wyandanch, NY, an adult literacy and job training
program for immigrant women established by S. Mary Ryan. As
the region grew in population so did the number of uneducated and underserved women. A year later, in 1995, S. Lenore saw the need and opened a second Opening Word site in Amityville. She
remained Director of the Amityville site, while also teaching until 2006 when she assumed the role of Executive Director.

In 2007, again responding to the needs of the community, S. Lenore established a third site at St. Hugh of Lincoln Parish in Huntington Station.
