Welcome to the new Leadership Council of the Sisters of St. Dominic of Amityville, including Sister Peggy McVetty, OP (Prioress), as well as Councilors Sister Diane Morgan, OP, Sister Diane Capuano, OP, Sister Judy Flanagan, OP, and newly elected Sister Laura Arvin, OP.
The Dominican family packed St. Albert’s Chapel for a special Mass for the Transferal of Leadership on June 22, 2025, welcoming the newly installed Leadership Council of the Sisters of St. Dominic of Amityville.
Please keep our Congregation in your prayers as they prayerfully discern the will of God for our continuing community and mission.
Along with many friends and family, Sister Lissie Aviles and Sister Teresita Rivera attended that day, traveling all the way from Puerto Rico. Last month, Sister Lissie was installed as the Provincial there, and Sister Teresita was installed as a Council Member.
