On Earth Day our Motherhouse “Care of Creation Team” will host a “Mercy2Earth” program. This global program is being presented in support of Pope Francis’ call for renewed commitments to care for creation in his “Show Mercy to our Common Home” message and put it into action.
Last April, the Congregation planted an Ornamental Kwanzan Cherry tree in honor of Earth Day and our 800th Jubilee. It was planted on the grounds by Dominic’s Chapel. Another was later planted in the Cloister Garden by the Sisters who reside in Rosary Hall. Sisters and associates celebrated the day with a prayer gathering as they watched a video and reflected on the problems arising from Climate Change.
