Lady Bug Release

Join us for a beautiful afternoon as we celebrate our Annual Ladybug Release on the land of the Sisters of St. Dominic in Amityville!

Learn all about Our Lady’s Beetle, with lots of fun facts, and activities.  Then, help us as we release them on the land where they can dine on aphids and other pests. It’s a party for the young, young at heart, and our favorite beetle, too!

Treats for All as we move forward together, caring for Earth with Love and Nature’s Help. (And NO chemical pesticides!)

Date/Time: Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 10 am – 12 noon

Location: In Person – Gather at the Gazebo on the Motherhouse Grounds, 555 Albany Avenue, Amityville, NY

Program led by: Jody Gangloff-Kaufmann, PhD, Entomologist & Associate Director NY State Integrated Pest Management Program at Cornell University
Elizabeth M. Keihm, Former Executive Director of Homecoming Farm, Elizabeth has a varied background having degrees in Theology, Social Work and Administrative Business Technology.
