The Sisters of St. Dominic recently received a $1,000 grant from Investors Foundation at the Motherhouse in Amityville, NY. The grant will help further the work of the Heart to Heart Ministry by assisting women escaping domestic violence. Part of a network responsible for the care and safe transport, Sister Ave is often the “go-to” person in times of crisis. For the past 25 years, she has helped hundreds of women, on average aiding 11 women per month. Sister Ave is prepared to feed, comfort, and deliver women and children to a safe haven.
Heart to Heart Ministry provides compassionate, spiritual, and practical care for those marginalized, victimized, and suffering in the NY metropolitan area via a 24/7 helpline, counseling, workshops, retreats, basic need supplies, and emergency care.
