This year we will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the very first Irish Night on Saturday, March 2, 2024. We hope that you will join in the festivities this year!
With the Holy Days fast approaching Amityville Dominican Sister Peggy Murphy directs our attention to the Beatitude “Blessed are the Meek.” Join us for this evening of prayerful reflection.
The Dominican Sisters, Associates, and Young Adults of Amityville, New York, publicly commit to respond to Pope Francis’ invitation to participate in a seven-year journey toward sustainability and integral ecology by developing a plan and concrete actions in union with the seven goals of the Laudato Sí Action Platform.
Who Are We?
Women and men, single and married who live out their baptismal call to follow Jesus Christ in the spirit of St. Dominic and St. Catherine of Siena. Associates journey with the Sisters and share in the "Holy Preaching" as bonded members of the congregation.
Young Adults range in age from 18-35. They can be either single or married. Captured by the spirit of St. Dominic to "preach with their lives", these partners in Dominican life have embraced the Dominican charism and wish to live out the four pillars of prayer, study, community, and mission in their lives.
Find Out More about Joining our Dominican Community
An initiative of the Amityville Dominican Sisters invites individuals and groups to connect with us through our existing ministries to explore Spirituality, Ecology, Social Justice, and Community Building. Through events and experiences, participants make new friends, forge new ministries, and create partnerships in order to advance justice and truth for all.
