The Dominican Sisters, Associates, and Young Adults of Amityville, New York, publicly commit to respond to Pope Francis’ invitation to participate in a seven-year journey toward sustainability and integral ecology by developing a plan and concrete actions in union with the seven goals of the Laudato Sí Action Platform.

The Four Pillars of Dominican Life

As members of the Worldwide Order of Preachers and as daughters of St. Dominic, the Sisters live among God’s people sharing Joy and Hope, striving to live in a way that calls others to know, love, and follow our brother Jesus.

Who Are We?

Associates and Sisters

Women and men, single and married who live out their baptismal call to follow Jesus Christ in the spirit of St. Dominic and St. Catherine of Siena. Associates journey with the Sisters and share in the "Holy Preaching" as bonded members of the congregation.

Dominican Young Adults and Sisters

Young Adults range in age from 18-35. They can be either single or married. Captured by the spirit of St. Dominic to "preach with their lives", these partners in Dominican life have embraced the Dominican charism and wish to live out the four pillars of prayer, study, community, and mission in their lives.
