Sister Kevin John Shields Receives Award February 8, 2018

Sister Kevin John Shields, OP, has ministered over the past 40 years in Orange and Sullivan Counties, NY. This past December, she was honored with the Distinguished Citizenship Award from the Sullivan County Legislature.

Serving as the regional catechetical director, Sister Kevin would only accept this award on behalf of the volunteers with whom she has served. In her words, “I am in awe of the generosity of these people and I don’t know where I’d be without them. I accepted the award on their behalf. It is the only reason why I said yes!”

There is no doubt that Sister Kevin’s commitment, vision, energy, and leadership have tapped into those she shares her ministry with allowing the preaching to continue.
