The Pastor’s Post in the bulletin of St. Brigid’s R.C. Church in Westbury for the third week of Advent was entitled “Signs of Joy and Hope.” Father John Sureau wrote about Sister Margaret Smyth, OP, remembering that she passed away a year ago during this time of Advent.
“I think of Sister Margaret and so many other Dominican sisters I know (we have seen this in our parish most recently through the witness of Sister Ann Horn and Sister Julie Thompson!). Signs of joy and hope that are trying to confront some challenging times from a place of deep peace.”
