Welcome to UN Sisters March 27, 2017

On March 18, 2017, the Congregation welcomed women religious delegates from the UN Commission on the Statutes of Women at the Congregational Assembly. These Sisters visited our Motherhouse and presented on their ministries that help empower women and children around the globe.

The Sisters represented many countries and have such diverse ministries – from preserving the language of Native Americans in Montana; to standing with women and girls as they face the challenges of Islamic rule in Pakistan; to the Vietnamese Sisters who boast 472 members, 98 aspirants, 28 novices and 97 temporarily professed who run entirely free programs in healthcare, education and more.

A special thank you to Sisters Juliana Idoko and Clementina Oti from Nigeria; Sister Rukhsana Yaqoob from Pakistan; Sister Emmanuel Yen Do from Vietnam; Sister Helena Im from Mexico; Sister Laura Nino from Colombia; Sister Helen Mary Harmey from Ireland; Sister Judy Morris from Columbus, OH and Sister Margaret Hillary from Grand Rapids, MO.
